What is rooting Android device?

What is rooting?
Android is based on Linux OS and needs special permissions to access various parts of OS. Android rooting allows users to get root access or special privilege to various restricted parts of Android OS.

Why to root?

  • Manufacturers and wireless carriers impose various restrictions and limitations on devices which can be  removed by rooting.
  • Get access to latest root updates.
  • Rooting gives you a chance to install some cool apps that require administrator level permissions.
  • After rooting you can install various custom ROM`s and customize your android device to great detail.

Why Not to Root?

  • Warranty will be void once the device is rooted. But if you want to get your warranty back even after  rooting simply flash rooted device with original ROM and you get your warranty back.
  • If proper rooting procedures are not followed, one may risk their device being bricked or damaged.
